Dimitar Lukanov was born on February, 23rd, 1969, in Plovdiv. Studied design and sculpture in Plovdiv, Sofia, Paris, New York. In 1997 got a degree of the master of arts. Since 1994 lives in New York. Teaches sculpture and figure in three branches of School of design “Parsons” in New York, Paris and on the Caribbean islands. His works are in private and state collections in the US, Switzerland, France, Mexico, Italy, Germany, Canada, China, Monaco and Russia. Main works: 2003 - bronze sculpture “Sun falls” Dellray Beach, Florida USA. 2006 – bronze sculpture “Sky Light” in John Kennedi airport in New-York, terminal 4, hall of the international flights. 2001 - steel sculpture “Splash in the water”, the international park of sculpture, island Isla Moochers, Mexico. 1998 – sculpture “Butterfly”, glazed clay, Altos de Chavon, Dominican republic. 2002 - bronze sculpture “Fire Wind”, Geneva. 1998 - fountain, clay, Dominican republic. 1997 – Installation “White Drawing”, lake Batak, Bulgaria.
